     This is chapter 9/10 and what happened in this story was. They started the rumble, Johnny, and Dally died and Pony got sick. The rumble: Darry was the first one to start the rumble. Darry walked up to one of the Socs and puched him in the face, then everybody just went physco. People were punching, hitting, jumpining on people and kicking people. Dally came to the fight even with his hurt arm. Dally had to onlt use 1 arm. Pony helped Dally because Pony wasn’t that strong and Dally only had 1 arm. During the rumble Poney got kicked in the head and the ribs a bunch by a Socs but Darry threw him off Pony and Darry was just beating on the one that was kicking Pony. After the rumble Dally and Pony whent up to the hospital to see Johnny. The doctor wouldnt let them in at first, but then Dally pulled Two-Bits black knife on the doctor. The doctor let them in, but Johnny was dying. When they were talking Johnny died. Dally ran way and Pony walked home. Later that night Dally robbed a gas station and he got the police after him. Dally was running away from the cops and shooting at them. Dally got shot and died. Everybody was shocked and sad. Pony thinks Dally wanted to die because Johnny died.  

My Thoughts-

My thoughts about this chapter are how the fact that Ponyboy and Dally are running around the streets when Johnny is dead and they are going crazy trying to find the Soc’s to take back there revenge and so they dont have to much to go from so they start of to find them and when they do I think the Soc’s would have never wanted to kill Johnny.

My Thoughts-

My thoughts about this are what might happen to Johnny in the future and why is this so important to him and if he didn’t mean to kill Bob then why did he do it. He could of just took him out with a swing but I guess he didn’t feel as if that would do anything. So much stuff has happened sence the start because at the start of the book they were just enemies but now it is just a brutale war that has no end until someone takes things to far.

   Johnny is just experienced enough to know how innocent he is about so many things. He doesn’t want to die before he can experience those things, but he is not innocent enough to think that he will be able to. He knows he is going to die while he is still young, before he has really learned or seen anything, and it seems very unfair to him.

In this chapter Ponyboy has been threw a lot and now he is in a church with Johnny hidding from the Soc’s. Cherry is acting as a spy for the greasers. This shocks Ponyboy and Johnny, but then they figure out that Bob is the dead Soc that they killed and had been Cherry’s boyfriend. Dally informs them that Cherry has said that she is willing to testify the Socs were drunk that night and Johnny acted only in self-defense which is very brave. Cherry’s stance gives Johnny the hope he needs, and he announces that they are going to turn themselves in to the police and try to be cival.  Dally rejects this plan, but Johnny only maintains. I don’t want to stay in that church the rest of my life. That is the worst thing that I could do.

The thing I like about this chapter is how they are so in curaged for everything to go as planned but then it all falls a part near the end then you get caught. These chapters are really about faith because they could get in big trouble because of killing Bob as known as one of the Soc’s well was anyway and now that they are thinking about where to go now because Johnny said that he does not want to get caught with anything. Hopefully everything is all good.

The way that this works is Marcia and Cherry are their with Two-bit in the rain and they need a ride home so Two-bit tells them he will give them a ride he just has to walk their and pick it up. So they are going their all 3 of them. Cherry was thinking about the fight when the greaser girls and soc’s girls and was thinking like I wonder if the greaser girls could have fought harder and so on about that.

It was weird because Marcia was thinking about other things to like why couldn’t I have done something about this when she needed help because she wouldn’t talk and how she is so glad that she meet “Cherry Valance”. Their was a horse and its name was Mickey Mouse and he was a mean horse as they say in the story because he kicked thw other horses and he was really mean to everyone around them and he also chased people and stomped on them and did really mean stuff. I think Sodapop gave him away?

Their was a red car in the distance and they said act normal like you dont now who is is and they did and they also thought maybe it was john and bob driving by and maybe it was the Soc’s so they tried to stay claim and the car past and were happy and then Cherry brought up Ponyboys bro and she asked him what is your brothers like?

Then Ponyboy went home then when he got home his brother had smacked him for the first time in his intire life then Ponyboy ran away. On his run away he met Johnny on the road then they start running together and then they got t the park and rested for a bit then a blue mustang started up around the corner and slowly stopped at the park. Then some people got out of the car it was 5 of the Soc’s. Then they started running at them and one tryed to drown Ponyboy but Johnny made a sudden move and stabbed him till he was dead. They ran back to the house and Dally was their and handed them cloths, bullets and a gun and some food. Then they got on the train and ran to a abandened church and sleeped.
